hey Joe! Try this [link] it's a group called ixi who make free "experimental music software": that is, the whole programming and interface is experimental. Generally you import a soundfile, and manipulate it by moving little squares around the screen, to interesting and ambient effect. I think if we do some stuff together we should consider using this, we could record guitars and voices and make them unrecognizable and cool. The thing is, it's in real time and doesn't really work around a rhythm, it's like a live instrument. Ah well, have a look and mess around with some of the programs, they're cool.
